Nursing Education and Research Institute (NEAR Institute) is an organization incorporated and located in Maryland for the purpose of nursing education, nursing recruitment, and nursing research both nationally and internationally. Our programs include advanced-practice nursing practicum, residency, internships, CEUs, and various certifications. We partner and collaborate with individuals, institutions and organizations on nursing and other health related research studies. We assist healthcare organizations in meeting their nursing recruitment needs by sourcing for quality nursing staff both nationally and internationally, include international graduate nurses that would need CGFNS certification in order to migrate and work in the United States. We also support nursing education in developing countries through the donation of new and used nursing textbooks to nursing schools and colleges.

The NEAR Institute collaborates with many organizations and institutions on activities related to advanced-practice nursing practicum or internship, nursing residency, nursing research, consultancy, recruitment, fundraising, curriculum development, and grant writing and implementation. Our main collaborating partner is Optimum Health Systems, Inc., an outpatient mental health center located in Baltimore Maryland. We are continually seeking additional collaborating partners that can foster the advancement of our vision.
